Shoes, what shoes do you skate?

I am wondering what shoes people skate, what are the advantages and disadvantages of different shoes? What are people favorites?

I'm a low-top guy all the way. My favorites at the moment are the vans AV3 (adidas ripoffs) and vans j-lay lows. I just like a grippy, cushioned soul and a nice thin upper. The less time i have to spend breaking my shoes in, the better. Nah'm sayin?

I have tried a whole bunch of different shoes in my time skating. I have seemed to settle on high tops/ mid tops. I have skated the lakai telford for 2 pairs, then I skated the nike sb dunks. The telford is a high top and the sb dunks were mids, but they were basically the same exact thing except the strap. Those shoes have been my favorites. I love the support of the higher shoes. I'll skate anything of that basic shape as long as I am not paying more than $50. I just got a new pair of the telfords that I cant wait to start skating in tomorrow, weather permitting. I highly recommend the telford.

I to hate breaking in shoes, or well anything for that matter. I have find the transition between shoes to be less frustrating if I keep ridding the same make.

Oh with hightops I have never rolled or sprained an ankle, huge plus.

E's Accel, low tops.

– They last forever, even when doing lots of dogwalks.
– Super good grip, even when new.
– Good board feeling, stil saves your knees and back.

Black converse high tops, the only reason I like them is because of the flexibility and movement. Otherwise they're horrible shoes.
